Kate Vendemio, Mt. Vernon Consulting, Founder & CEO
When employees strongly agree they received "meaningful feedback" in the past week, they are almost four times more likely than other employees to be engaged. If you want to retain the employees you have and ensure they are engaged, motivated, and happy, consider feedback your new secret weapon. Feedback improves communication, increases productivity, builds stronger relationships, allows for better decision making, and directly impacts employee satisfaction.
Providing constructive feedback to staff and colleagues can be challenging, but doing so in a hybrid work environment adds additional complications. Delivering effective feedback is crucial for your team to successfully navigate the complications of remote or hybrid work. How, when, and where you provide feedback requires additional forethought when delivering to hybrid/remote employees. This workshop will provide you with actionable steps to plan and deliver effective feedback to your hybrid and remote teams.
During this presentation we will:
•Explore why feedback is so hard to give both in-person and remotely.
•Examine common hybrid feedback delivery mistakes.
•strategies for delivering effective feedback to hybrid teams/ employees.
Attendees will walk away with:
•Tips to avoid hybrid feedback delivery mistakes.
•Strategies for delivering effective feedback to hybrid teams/ employees.
•A list of feedback conversation starters.
Kate Vendemio says "When I was a trainer, I developed a keen interest in instructional design. What made a training more effective? And how could I improve as a trainer?" So, she began exploring how to design an effective training program that delivers quality instruction and ensures employees would apply what they learned. The logical, linear approach of instructional design clicked with Kate's project management mindset. Thus began her new life as an instructional designer and trainer.
Never one to do things half-way, Kate became a bronze-level Kirkpatrick certified professional. (The Kirkpatrick Model is the foremost evaluation training methodology in the world.) She has a master’s certificate in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University.
Outside of work Kate is working toward the goal of visiting all 50 states and the home country of each of her ancestors. She also enjoys working in her vegetable garden and talking ad nauseum about her crop yields to anyone patient enough to listen.
