Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the flexibility to telework as business needs allow.


The Office of Human Resources is looking for an engaged and productive Human Resources Manager to assist with implementing the Human Resources Transformation Strategy. The plan is designed to fundamentally change how Prince William County supports its current and future workforce's Human Resources and Talent Management needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple human resources functional areas, including talent management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and labor and employee relations, with a thorough understanding of human resources policies and procedures. The bulk of the role will involve leading, coaching, and mentoring a Senior Human Resources Business Partners team to enhance their performance and professional development. This pivotal role ensures expert consultation on employee relations, talent management, performance management, and benefits planning while aligning human resources strategies with overall business objectives and driving organizational effectiveness. We’re eager to find a Human Resources Manager who connects easily with people and has a detail-oriented mindset for handling the dynamic nature of today’s workforce.


Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and seven (7) years of related human resources experience.


Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (in human resources or business administration) or a related field; Three (3) years of experience in multiple human resource functional areas (i.e., benefits, recruiting, training and development, and/or employee and labor relations).


Special Requirements of the Selected Candidate: Required to pass a criminal background and DMV records check.
