PWSHRM Chapter Volunteers Support County Government Career Expo

Published on 5/20/2026

The Prince William SHRM Chapter proudly partnered with Prince William County Government during its recent Career Expo on May 13, 2026, providing valuable support to job seekers throughout the event. Chapter volunteers played a key role in helping attendees strengthen their career readiness and navigate today’s competitive job market.

One of the most highly sought-after resources at the expo was the Chapter’s resume review service. Together, Prince William SHRM volunteers reviewed more than 80 resumes, offering personalized feedback, professional guidance, and practical recommendations to help candidates stand out to employers.

“This accomplishment would not have been possible without the Chapter’s support and the commitment of our dedicated volunteers,” said Kristin Lohfeld, Prince William SHRM’s Chapter President. “Their willingness to share their expertise and time made a meaningful impact on job seekers across our community.”

The Career Expo provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in on-site screenings and learn how to navigate the county’s hiring process. Attendees also had opportunities to network, make connections and explore pathways to county employment. Several departments hosted presentations throughout the day, highlighting services and career paths. Prince William SHRM’s participation reflects the Chapter’s
ongoing commitment to workforce development, community engagement, and supporting professionals at every stage of their careers.

The Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to all volunteers who contributed their time and expertise to make the event a success.
