Prince William SHRM Team Participated in the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Manassas, VA

Manassas, VA – October 19, 2024 – The Prince William Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) proudly participated in the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – VA Tri-Counties on October 19, 2024, in Manassas, Virginia. As a long-time participant in this vital event, Prince William SHRM continued its commitment to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s initiatives. This year’s event in Manassas brought together community members, advocates, and supporters under sunny and beautiful skies, all united to honor those affected by this devastating disease.

“Our team has always been passionate about supporting the Alzheimer’s Association and the crucial work they do,” said Keri Purtell, the Prince William SHRM President. “We recognize the impact that Alzheimer’s has on families and communities, and we are committed to raising both funds and awareness to help combat this disease.”

Participants enjoyed a day filled with camaraderie, inspiration, and a shared commitment to a future without Alzheimer’s. The event featured a scenic walk, educational resources, and opportunities to connect with local organizations dedicated to Alzheimer’s support.

The Prince William SHRM team set a fundraising goal of $2,500 to support the Alzheimer’s Association's mission. Donations will be collected through the team’s fundraising page https://act.alz.org/site/TR?team_id=868892&pg=team&fr_id=17508#team-roster through December 31, 2024.
