As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in HR processes—from recruiting and performance management to employee monitoring—HR leaders are facing new responsibilities around safety, fairness, and compliance. This presentation is designed to equip HR professionals with a practical understanding of the key risks and obligations associated with AI adoption in the workplace. Attendees will explore common safety challenges, including algorithmic bias and unintended discrimination, and how these risks can impact both employees and organizational trust. The session will also examine the evolving regulatory and compliance landscape affecting HR, highlighting what leaders need to know to stay aligned with legal and ethical standards. Finally, participants will walk away with actionable steps HR teams can take now to implement AI responsibly, reduce risk, and ensure AI tools are used in ways that are transparent, compliant, and people-centered.

Learning Objectives:

•  The safety challenges around implementation of AI -- particularly the challenges of bias
•  The regulatory and compliance challenges facing HR leaders regarding AI
•  The steps HR leaders should take now to implement AI safely and legally
