Presenter(s):
Chris Picarde, Senior Consulant Talent Optimization, PI Mid-Atlantic

Based on Elizabeth Kubler Ross' “Change Curve” theory, learn how to lead during times of crisis/change.  Through the lens of behavioral analytics, Chris will discuss how we, individually and collectively as a Leadership team, naturally respond to the impact of changing workplace environments. Each participant will complete the Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment which we will use as the foundation for helping the audience understand how we all experience sudden and/or rapid change. Self-awareness is the most important competency for leaders and leadership teams to develop. Awareness of how to guide your team and/or organization is critical to navigating major transitions/shifts/change impacting their organization.

Learning objectives:

•Understand how your own personality traits impact the team.
•Learn mechanisms to help navigate personalities that don’t align with your own.

Chris Picarde earned his B.S. in Political Science from Randolph-Macon College, where he captained the soccer and tennis teams. He began his career in the talent acquisition and recruiting services industry with Aerotek in the Virginia Beach area. After moving back to Annapolis, Chris was one of the original members of CORT Business Services' Higher Education division. Chris ranked in the Top Three in Sales every year and led all sales in 2014. He was also responsible for spearheading national initiatives, training new hires, and developing new national furniture management programs. Before leaving for an opportunity in surgical sales, Chris had been a vital contributor to the Higher Education division, accounting for roughly 25% of overall revenue.

After spending two years in Ophthalmic surgical sales, Chris made the leap into the “family business.”

Chris was born and raised in Annapolis, MD, where he currently resides. In his free time, you will find him spending time with his two rescue dogs, playing soccer, tennis, and golf, and being the "fun uncle" of his two nieces and two nephews.
