Presenter(s):  Gina Weatherup,  Chantilly Mediation & Facilitation

Mediation is not just for divorce or discrimination. A trained, neutral, contract mediator can be HR’s partner in building a trusting, collaborative workplace. Conflict is inevitable - but it does not always have to fall on your shoulders!

Learning Objectives:

  • Situations where mediation is most beneficial.
  • The mediation process and types of mediation
  • What costs to consider.
  • How to work with a contract mediator.

Gina Weatherup believes we spend too much time working to not be happy at work.  She founded Chantilly Mediation and Facilitation to help leaders create happier, more compassionate workplaces - knowing that this is not just the right thing to do, it's the profitable thing to do.  Gina is a trained mediator, holds a Master of Arts degree in Women's Studies from the George Washington University, and a Professional Certificate in the Science of Happiness at Work.  Gina is a member of the Virginia Mediation Network, the Mid-Atlantic Facilitator Network (MAFN), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
